Drive with Confidence: Volvo's EX90 Unleashes the Power of Autonomous Safety

Volvo has long been synonymous with safety, and with their upcoming all-electric flagship SUV, the EX90, they are taking their commitment to protecting lives to a whole new level. The EX90 showcases Volvo's dedication to innovation, quality, and safety, setting a new standard for the brand.

Understanding the Human Experience for Enhanced Safety

One of the key features of the EX90 is its ability to understand the human experience and surroundings. By analyzing human behaviour and leveraging decades of safety research, Volvo has developed a car that can anticipate potential risks and help drivers make better decisions. The car's advanced sensing technology, including cameras, radars, and LiDAR, provides a 360-degree real-time view of the world, allowing it to react swiftly and accurately.

    Advanced Sensors and AI-Powered Protection

Inside the EX90, a watchful guardian keeps an eye on the driver. Special sensors and cameras, powered by Volvo's proprietary algorithms, monitor the driver's concentration and alertness. If the driver becomes distracted or tired, the car provides gentle reminders, escalating to more insistent alerts if necessary. In extreme situations, such as if the driver falls asleep or becomes unwell, the EX90 is designed to safely stop and call for help.

The EX90 also features Volvo's unique sensor set, including eight cameras, five radars, 16 ultrasonic sensors, and a cutting-edge LiDAR sensor. LiDAR technology, which uses pulsed laser light to measure distances with precision, significantly enhances the car's ability to detect potential hazards. By combining advanced sensors, in-house software, and powerful computing capabilities, Volvo aims to create a car that can anticipate and respond to potential dangers inside and outside the vehicle.

Joachim de Verdier, head of Safe Vehicle Automation at Volvo Cars, believes that the EX90 will be the safest Volvo car ever produced. He emphasizes that the fusion of external environment understanding and driver attention awareness creates a preventive shield of safety around the driver. Volvo's ultimate vision is to achieve zero deaths and serious injuries in their cars, and the EX90, with its advanced autonomous driving technology on the horizon, represents a significant step towards that goal.

As Volvo continues to innovate and lead the way in automotive safety, the EX90 stands as a testament to its unwavering commitment. With its state-of-the-art technology, the EX90 paves the way for a safer and more secure future on the roads, where accidents are minimized, and lives are protected.
