The new Volvo S60 and V60 Recharge models
December 10 2021,
Volvo brought changes to the S60 Recharge and the V60 Recharge for 2022 which make these models even more appealing than before due to modifications to their equipment.
Better equipped
For 2022, the previous T8 models now wear the Recharge name to symbolise the importance of their plug-in hybrid powertrain. Apart from this change, the S60 and V60 Recharge now feature more equipment and a more convenient way to add the options you want that makes you save time and money. Indeed, the 2022 model year sees the addition of the wireless charging pad to both models in order to free you from having to fiddle with the charging cable to power your phone. In addition, the most popular options have now been included in a couple of packages that make your life easier by saving you from having to individually select each one you want and it also has the benefit of making you save money compared to the total of all of the previous standalone options. For example, the head-up display, the Pilot Assist semi-autonomous driving system and many others are now part of the Advanced Package.
The same great drivetrain
The 2022 Volvo S60 and V60 Recharge keep the same impressive plug-in hybrid system that was used in last year’s model. This means you still have up to 35 kilometers of pure electric range available to complete your commute without using a drop of fuel and the same power that makes the Recharge models the fastest and most dynamic of their lineup. Indeed, the Polestar version develops 415 horsepower and it can reach 96 km/h in only 4.4 seconds from a stop. Despite this performance, the S60 and V60 Recharge deliver an impressive fuel consumption of 7.8L/100km that can even reach 7.0L/100km on the highway due to the assistance of the electric motor that takes some of the load from the gasoline engine while cruising and accelerating.
