Volvo unveils new Advanced Air Cleaner technology for cleaner air
September 23 2020,
Volvo has a new system designed to improve air quality inside its vehicles. It is called Advanced Air Cleaner and it uses a system devised by the WHO to measure air quality.
The system measures PM2.5 levels inside the cockpit and can filter out these particles that hurt air quality. PM2.5 refers to inhalable particles measuring less than 2.5 micrometers. Volvo’s Advanced Air Cleaner can filter out 95 per cent of these particles to keep you and your family safe.
“With our Advanced Air Cleaner technology, you can rest assured that the air you breathe inside your Volvo is cleaner and healthier,” said Anders Löfvendahl, senior technical expert on cabin air quality at Volvo Cars. “We believe that clean air is good for you, both from a health and from a safety perspective, and will continue to push the envelope in this area.”
The new Advanced Air Cleaner system will be available in the Volvo XC90 and the Volvo XC60 in 2021 in Canada.
